The Project Procurement Team Leader (PPTL) partners with the Procurement Manager to drive procurement execution across Grid Solutions projects in the North America region for the FACTS product line.
The PPTL leads a team of Project Buyers and Project Procurement & Logistics Managers (PPLMs), ensuring that all procurement activities are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget, while fully adhering to GE Vernova's sourcing policies.
As the first line of leadership and escalation, the PPTL takes charge of operational performance, actively driving KPI achievement, accelerating issue resolution, and championing continuous improvement. By streamlining processes, fostering collaboration, and anticipating risks, the PPTL ensures procurement consistently delivers maximum value and supports successful, on-time project execution.
Key missions:The Project Procurement Team Leader (PPTL) is responsible for:- Manage daily procurement execution activities, ensuring timely PO creation, approvals, documentation, and expediting in line with project schedules.
- Act as the first point of escalation for procurement execution and supplier-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution and clear communication with internal stakeholders.
- Track and report procurement performance metrics (On-Time Delivery, PO Cycle Time, Savings, Claim Resolution, etc.) and drive improvement actions.
- Conduct regular team meetings with the team.
- Provide onboarding and continuous training to the team members.
- Coach and mentor team members to strengthen performance and problem-solving.
- Hold regular one-to-one discussions to give feedback and support growth.
- Foster a culture of operational discipline, compliance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Performance Measurement- On-Time PO Issuance & Supplier Delivery
- Compliance with PO Release Strategy and Approvals
- KPI Achievement (OTD, Say/Do, Function OTD, Claims)
- Effective Escalation and Issue Resolution
Qualifications/Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of procurement or supply chain experience, specifically in project-based industries (Energy, Industrial, EPC, or Manufacturing).
- At least 3 years of team leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring small teams.
- Strong understanding of sourcing processes, supplier management, and ERP systems (SAP)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
